Analysis of Deformation in an Aluminium Hull Impacting Water Free Surface

Water impacts provide a challenge for wide range of applications, from aerospace, to marine, mechanical and civil engineering, due the complexity conveyed by coexistence impulsive loads, large local deformations high-amplitude vibrations. Thus, need reliable structural health monitoring (SHM) systems is emerging in industrial field fluid-structure interaction (FSI) applications. In this paper, we leverage previous work on strain displacement fields reconstruction analyse scale aluminium model subject water vertical oblique impacts.
